MadRunners Kin-Ball Club Blue Peter Visit

MadRunners are a running and fitness club based in St Helens and through an initiative with Street Games received Kin-Ball training. After this training and receiving some equipment the club decided that it would be perfect to engage young people, so they set up their own local Kin-Ball community club.

On Saturday 12th November 2022 at The Thompson Centre, the young people from the club had a fantastic surprise visit by the longest running children’s programme in the world! Yes, that’s right Blue Peter made a visit to reward two participants with their Sport Badges, an award for getting active and trying a sport that they have never tried before. All the young people had the pleasure of meeting Richie Driss, Mwaksy Mudenda and Joel Mawhinney and the presenters also had a go at playing the game with the young people.

A fantastic afternoon was had by everyone concerned and well done to Harry and Nathan who received their Sports Badges, awesome work guys!

If any young person is looking for a new sport to try, whether that is to keep yourselves fit and healthy, gain your Blue Peter Sports Badge, gain your Duke of Edinburgh Award or just to have fun with your mates, then please speak to your PE Teachers or local community organisations to see about engaging with Kin-Ball UK to get the young people of the nation healthy!
